Anybody here (meaning you Smooth) get this? The last series was so awful, I passed. Which is sad, because I've enjoyed the Wreckers in the past. When I looked at the preview, the coloring tone was so bad, like the last series, I couldn't bring myself to buy it.
But if you've read it and found it to be really good, I could be persuaded otherwise.

Re: Requiem of the Wreckers
I don't think I ever finished the previous mini, but I did pick this up...and freaking loved it. Although most everything about it suggests that the author went to IDW brass and said "Our big grand finale leaves these characters' storylines unresolved. I've got an idea for wrap 'em all up." to which they responded "Fine. You've got 48 pages to wrap it all up. Sure. Call Geoff Senior. Do whatever. And shut off the lights when you're done."
It's good. I mean, it's as good as you'd expect a huge fan of the franchise who is wildly creative to deliver as his swansong on the comic that he built his professional name on.

Okay, you've convinced me. I'll get it.

Re: Requiem of the Wreckers
Thought it was the ending that Sins needed, personally. Fanfic with a budget -- which isn't a diss, the up-side of IDW seeming to exercise very little editorial control is that it's allowed some experimental stuff to come to the fore that it's hard to imagine happening on any other publisher's watch. Worked as a fitting capstone for the continuity as well as the series.
Shame they made it so difficult to get (apparently a short run with the collected edition being solicited for so soon after).
