Didn't think much of this issue.
Things have just gotten kind of weird, even for this series. Clearly, this is not some kind of afterlife, or purgatory, as Roberts is a very anti-religion kind of dude. So something technical is afoot, not spiritual obviously. Be interesting to see who summoned them there.
Clearly, Roberts has been pushed to speed things along to a conclusion of sorts, likely one he did not envision.
