"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Sounds as if it's gonna be just like the Zombies 'crossover' event - where none of the characters from the individual titles crossed into each other's titles, but characters from the crossover mini-series did - i.e. not actually a crossover event.

Eeeeeeh... Not as bad as it could have been. But still.MTMTE untouched?
Rather, you can assume that any involvement will make sense to that series and not change what James has built.
OK now I'm panicking. Restarting MTMTE is just about the craziest thing to do to a book with such a hardcore fandom.
I understand the trepidation but we're not abandoning plans, characters or stories. Just moving things forward.
Not a reboot in any way, shape or form, actually. All the stories you read here before still happened.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I'm sure this has nothing to do with James Roberts' recent less-than-cheerful tweets. Nothing at all.
Even if this does change MTMTE in a way that I'm not really into, I still got like half a decade where a Transformers comic book was the BEST monthly I was reading. That's something I never expected, and I'll always be grateful that it happened.

Yeah, we got 50-odd issues that weren't entirely gash. That's something to be grateful for, at least.

Someone saw the popularity of Transformers, the popularity of GI Joe, didn't really research their concepts, merged their concepts and wondered why they didn't get a super-popular franchise.Metal Vendetta wrote:****ing MASK, for ****'s ****ing sake. I have to say, thinking as I do that many Transformers fans are complete *****, that this news and the mental break down reaction it has cause in many of them, has brought me no end of joy.
I should probably get a life, right?
Or maybe not. I like the way I am

I was never a big fan of ROM or Micronauts, but I remember reading some of their 1970s-early 80s comics and enjoying them. It could be fun to cross them over with MTMTE. It's not as though the organics in MTMTE have been these spectacularly original and riveting creations; it might bring something to the Galactic Council storylines that wasn't there before.
Put it this way: I would be much more excited, as a writer, about using those characters than I would be explaining why all my robots' heads turned into little robots now.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.
