It's out in less than 2 weeks. The DJD are on their way. Megatron has, in a moment of wonderful timing, denounced violence. What do you think will happen?
My predictions:
* The DJD wont kill Megatron, but they will take him away for torture - prompting a rescue mission from the Lost Light crew.
* At least 2 of the "main crew" will die. We've had a lot of fake out deaths and I think Roberts will compensate. My money is on Chromedome and Ultra Magnus.
* Tailgate's mutation will clearly come at a price, and I think we will start to learn what it is.
* At least one member of the DJD will be killed, and I think they will recruit Getaway to take his place
* The Lost Light itself is going to get really messed up

Re: MTMTE #50 Predictions
I have an inkling Cyclonus will die.
But then I also think he still has his rematch with Star Saber to happen.

Re: MTMTE #50 Predictions
I was thinking Skids could be a contender, but we've yet to find out the deal behind the spark things he saw on Luna 1

Re: MTMTE #50 Predictions
Predictions, eh?
Tarn revealed, finally, to be Dominus Ambus.
Getaway *doesn't*
Pharma as new DJD member.
Nickel dies.
Star Saber returns.
Drift, too. And Ratchet.

Re: MTMTE #50 Predictions
1. The return of Mirage and the Protectobots - as of ex-RID #44 they were on their way back from Cybertron and given the power levels of combiners in the IDWverse, having Defensor on their team could be the edge that stops the Lost Lighters from getting totally slaughtered by the DJD this time
2. I'm reasonably sure Brainstorm's up for the chop; with his major story arc complete he's been redeemed in front of the LLILAC and made up with Nautica, and we know that he was an undercover agent for the DJD so I can't see them appreciating him turning on them. The only thing I can see saving him is his arsenal of bizarre and dangerous weaponry, but we've seen that he couldn't even shoot Megs when he had the chance. Not looking good for old 'Stormy.
3. There's some brutal Ravage/Megatron interplay regarding the latter's renouncing violence. Probably as Ravage is attempting to defend Megs from the approaching DJD and getting rinsed by them.
4. Riptide does... something. As one of the more prominent additions to the S2 cast, he's conspicuously avoided a great deal of the focus and scrutiny aside from his flashback with Drift and Pipes which doesn't give us much to go on, but he's obviously there for a purpose. It's entirely possible that purpose is to be the "Ambulon" of S2 and get horribly dismembered by the DJD in a shock splash page, of course.
5. Cyclonus... hm, I had this amazing theory about there not being a Cyclonus on the duplicate Lost Light because he was on the outside of the ship during the quantum explosion, leaving open the possibility of an alt-Cyclonus turning up, but I just went back and checked and we did see alt-Cyclonus getting killed by the DJD in a flashback, so that scuppers that. I think his relationship with Tailgate will change now that he's not the physically dominant one, leading Tailgate to overextend himself in battle in an attempt to be the one to save Cyclonus, with tragic consequences. Obviously.
6. I was wondering if Rung's altmode might come into play now that he's resigned as psychiatrist, but that feels more like a future story and a Knights of Cybertrony kind of thing. It may come up if the Knights themselves do (I think they are mentioned in Roberts' preview dialogue snippets on Twitter but of course that could be a red herring as well) but I don't think it's going to be an immediately major part of the plot. Argh, now I've gone and read the snippets again, one of them also mentions something about someone's second shape being their own business. Maybe I was right after all, in which case it'll also probably involve Nightbeat, since it's one of his pet mysteries.
7. Ten gets a one-panel cameo as a hippy flower-power Legislator fighting Decepticons.

Re: MTMTE #50 Predictions
Those quotes in full, highlight to read:
"Optimus?"
MTMTE #50 / The Dying of the Light
"What do we *know* about the Knights?"
MTMTE #50 / The Dying of the Light
"That was a sarcastic round of applause."
MTMTE #50 / The Dying of the Light
"Cyclonus crying out in pain. That's what it sounded like to me."
MTMTE #50 / The Dying of the Light
"They're here, aren't they?"
MTMTE #50 / The Dying of the Light
"Bye bye... Love you, too."
MTMTE #50 / No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases
"Quark? Rings a bell. Quark."
MTMTE #50 / No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases
"No, no, I get it. Your second shape is your own business."
MTMTE #50 / No Guns, No Swords, No Briefcases
If nothing else, the two titles suggest we're getting both a strip and a text story
