They gone doned made this.
I think it's quite decent.
But then I would, because I helped fund it. Because the internet is fantastic.
What's also fantastic is the idea of making it available worldwide as a digital download on the same day as it's released into US cinemas. It is also an idea that will never catch on.
It is also an idea slightly hindered by the "free download for backers" being distributed via Flixster.

Re: Veronica Mars movie
Saw it with my wife and loved it. Absolutely perfect.
Spoilers
I will say the ending was a bit darker than I thought it would be. Veronica is an addict. To adrenaline, but still an addict. She gave up stability and success so that she could get her highs being a PI. Veronica is incredibly smart but this was not a wise choice.
Totally Noir however and completely compelling. I care so much for that character that I want her to escape Neptune, not be trapped by it.
Edit - Oh it was really cool to have This American Life feature as a cameo. http://www.thisamericanlife.org/blog/20 ... mars-movie
I dunno if any of the UK'ers have ever heard of This American Life, but it's an hour long public radio show produced in Chicago and hosted by Ira Glass that covers pretty much any topic so long as it is compelling and/or interesting. They're also drowning in awards.
By far one of their most amazing pieces was on the financial crisis of 2008 and explaining just what happened. http://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-a ... l-of-money
