And I think to myself, what a wonderful world...

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

And I think to myself, what a wonderful world...

It's been a rough few years, first of all my girlfriend gets MS, then we have an unexpected child (Greatest gift in my life ever. Basically the MS medicine stopped the birth control from working). Then we have to support a family of 5 on one wage and the government refuses to recognise my partner as having MS unless she has another attack, so no money there and they say I earn too much (I really do not)

So anyway... we fall behind on bills and end up owing a lot for health insurance and rent, etc, etc. We are then sent to a food bank, to help us out. During the Sinterklaas period a former criminal wins the lottery and donates €150 per child (500 children), to the food bank we visit. So my 3 kids get €150 each. Fantastic, wonderful, thank you Mr Millionaire.

Then some kind soul leaves a card on my desk with 4 tickets to a safari park and €20.

Then my GF spends €10 (of her Christmas money) on Steam for me to use my new GPU (Bought from Birthday and Christmas money)

Yeah this is just love. But after posting about this on Facebook, an old work colleague posts me codes for 5 more games from Steam.

Aux likes humans, humans are cool.

*edit because I wrote sole instead of soul* ><

Merry holidays, Aux. Sorry to hear about so much trouble in 2013. I hope 2014 will be better.

Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Thank you and a wonderful 2014 to you Bumblemus, all Transfans and their loved ones.

My troubles are going to be sorted out eventually.

I just wanted to share how nice people have been in the last few months and how it has changed my of "it's me against everyone else" view of life.

Aux! Mate! =) Glad to hear you've been seing some light, in all the dark.

Congrats on the daughter btw! I didn't know you got married either - so congrats on that as well!

Sad to hear that she has MS tho, mate - but as you might have heard, it's no longer a disease without hope, several new treatments are under way, and a whole new kind of tree of drugs are under development, that can hopefully halt the progress of the disease completely.

Check it out, mate - tons of good things are in store. ( and the research is being done in the UK!)

Nice article Preds, my partner recently had a check up and she now has C.I.S it's kinda the H.I.V to A.I.D.S for MS.

Basically she had an attack, but her condition never degraded. But it hasn't got better either.
