Just a thought.
Given the amount of balls currently circling in the air in ReGen, I have a hard time seeing a conclusion that takes Jhiaxus & the G2s into account. Simon's cagey dance around the G2s in the process of ReGen has led me to think that, perhaps, he is planning a sequel series (12 issues?) that pits Rodimus & co against the Liege Maximo.
Drawn entirely by Senior and Roche.

Re: Regeneration TWO????!!!
not to be a party pooper but i reckon what is currently slated is it to be honest. Happy to be proven wrong.
As an aside is the origin of the term party pooper a guy (or girl!) that turned up to a rockin party and just like, defectated everywhere?

Re: Regeneration TWO????!!!
KINDA SPOILERS FOR REGEN #0
Yeah, with ReGen #0's "Jhaxius is old, stole the ability to reproduce, and then made a deal with Mephisto to wipe everyone's memory of him clean," Simon's cleared the continuity path for Jhaxius to show up with a bunch of "G2" Transformers and everyone to have no idea what the hell is giong on. But for all the ducks to be in a row, Jhaxius would have to almost not show up in the rest of ReGen for the "WTF is this guy all about" at the start of G2 to be real, right? I haven't read the start of G2 for a while, so I'm a bit fuzzy. Does it seem like that to anyone else? That IF the Jhaxius storyline doesn't intersect with the rest of ReGen proper, then with #0 ReGen could have Jhaxius's arrival as the epilogue of ReGen and it would be like, "Find out what happens in Generation 2, out in IDW TPB next week!" On the one hand, that seems like a lot of groundwork to lay just to try and sell people on an old storyline that's readily available in Titan trade paperbacks. On the other hand, we just had a whole issue of Boltax/Buster and the Car Wash of Death just so Hot Rod could pluck the Matrix off of Rodimus (which, if we're not concerned with fan wankery, continuity policing, and new readers, could have been done a couple of pages).
Of course, a major problem with all of this ever lining up is the fact that Hot Rod is in G2, which seems like one of those things that's going to be largely ignored.

Re: Regeneration TWO????!!!
I'm guessing that Regen One has, from the beginning, been meant to encapsulate G2 as well, with Simon rewriting G2 into the storyline as he intended to originally.
So when the comic ended in 1991, Simon had a mess of plotlines lying around. When G2 was solicited in 1993, Simon grabbed the handiest plotline he could out of what was left. A new race of Transformers, hence the Generation 2 concept, and we'll conveniently ignore that twined Ratchet/Megatron thing.
Now Simon gets a chance to work it into the conclusion of ReGen One. But all signs point to, for me, a conclusion that goes beyond #100 and that retells the G2 story.

Well, it might only sell the pithy 60,000 copies G2 sold each month, and Marvel will have to cancel it because Ron Perelman needs to run the company into the ground.
