Windows 8

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Windows 8

Post by Darth Aux » Wed Nov 14, 2012 6:15 pm

I just bought the Windows XP - 8 pro update, great deal for 30 euros.

However, I have a problem.

I bought my computer 2nd hand a few years back, the HD has a partition of C drive 30gb and D drive 240gb. For some reason I only have 10gb left on my C drive and Windows 8 requires 16gb and I just can't seem to make the final 6gb of space.

Is there a way to make the partition greater or install/move windows to my D drive until after the installation. Maybe delete the partition?

never mind, I restored the pc back to factory settings, still was 800mb under though. But compressed some files and it's all done. :)

So, how is it? It does come with a standard view option to use instead of the glorified smartphone interface, correct?

There is a desktop also, it really is quite slick tbh. Just will take a bit of getting used to. Quite interested in the HP Touchpad I read about now.

I especially like the xbox live interface for games and earning Gamer score for playing solitaire, etc =)
