London peeps

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

London peeps

Going up to Oxford Street tomorrow for some high-level geekery, as Dan Abnett's doing an in-store signing at Games Workshop...it's to promote the Black Library books but I figured if I have a copy of Infestation with me and flash the Decepticon tat I should be able to sneak in a couple of TF-related questions :)

Anyone in the area up for it? He's there 11am-2pm, so maybe GW then a pint or two in the Cock over lunch?
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

It's a little too short notice for me. I only live 20 mins away from Oxford St. on the bus so I would've been interested has I not made other arrangements already.

Have fun though!

I'll be there. It's the least I can do after you came to see my band last year.

Or do one big poo in the morning and another one in the afternoon. I bet they weren't even excited by and then subsequently disappointed by Star Wars Prequels. Or have a glass full of spare change near their beds. That they don't have.

Well I went down and spent £30 on Horus Heresy books, plus a couple of quid for Infestation #1. Had a brief chat with Dan Abnett - I don't know how much of this we already know, but I learnt:
- Transformers wasn't his first choice of title, as it reminded him of his Marvel UK days (though he was primarily on Thundercats back then)
- There was some light-hearted banter regarding Furman, Abnett said he "knows more about Transformers than anyone else...he knows more than Hasbro"
- When I showed up on Saturday he still hadn't seen a copy of Infestation - IDW were supposed to send him a bunch of them but they hadn't arrived yet
- James Swallow had bought a copy of Star Trek Infestation #1, but isn't really into the Transformers
- Abnett (and Lanning, presumably) will be writing a Transformers series for IDW that spins out of the events of Infestation
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!
