Yeah. So I found this in an old Marvel comic and thought I'd share.
Astro Magnum is Shockwave.
"Transforming Weapon" is most likely Megatron.
But what are the rest? Other Transformers? Go-Bots? Something else?

The camera is probably Reflector.
"Protectob" is most likely Prowl.
The communicator might be a poorly-described Soundwave with cassettes.
The tractor-trailer could be Prime.
I think the watch is
Kronoform.

Stuff like this is part of the reason that rubsigns came about. A lot of knock-offs were released around that time.

Huh. Interesting tidbit.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Googling for more info, I read somewhere that "Transforming Deception Plane" is most likely a seeker, and given the picture and emphasis, I'll go along with that.
Thunderstar is probably a smaller plane, and that would mean a Go-Bot, right? And the others in that block of text are also probably smaller toys.
But WTF would "The Leader" be? Did Go-Bots have combiners prior to the Constructicons?
Oh, and probably should have posted this earlier, the comic in question is The Thing v1 #20, which has a cover date of February 1985. Just so as to date the advert.

You needed Google for that?

For those snipers who haven't read the advertisement, there is more than one robot-to-plane toy listed.
So, anyway, I've read somewhere that there was a 3-in-1 Voltron toy. Is it possible "The Leader" is a knock-off of that?

But there's only one that's one letter away from being called "Decepticon Plane" in big letters next to a picture of a seeker.
