Don't want to put a downer on anything, but didn't Furman do a Mosaic, right before he got one mini-series shortened, another short mini to tie up a few loose ends, and hasn't done anything G1 since?

Hope this isn't an omen.

Canonicity of Furman's mosaic depended on him being able to tell two or three more arcs of stories without intereference. Worst that would happen if Roche/Roberts were bumped off now is that the Guzzle/Kup subplot was never resolved. So they're not quite jinxing themselves in the same way!

Yeah the smart thing here (intentional or not) was writing a prequel rather than something that depended on a whole host of subsequent stories.
