I love Decepticons. But I can't recall where these guys are right now in the IDW continuity:

Thunderwing
Sixshot
Scorponok
Ratbat
Bludgeon
Banzai-tron
Straxus
Arcee

Either I'm going senile or IDW just hasn't made me care enough.

Twing... not sure
Sixshot - knackered by Metroplex
Scorponok - at large after Max Dinos
Ratbat - he was in AHM wasn't he? Didn't read it as it was ****, but sure he was.
Bludgeon... I know the bots had him after Revelations, dunno after that.
Banzai-Tron - didn't he get ****** up in revelations as well?
Straxus - see above
Arcee - Last seen ******* up Jaiaxus at the end of Revelations?

For the record, I think IDW's imaginings / handling of those "classic" baddies at the end of Revelations was GASH.

Much like Man Citeh.

Shouldn't Twing be in Autobot custody at the end of Revelations?

Did Sixshot escape at the end of the Metroplex spotlight after being crushed?

So Scorponok wasn't taken to Garrus-9?

I don' think Ratbat was in AHM. Last I remember didn't he get killed or something by Soundwave in Megatron:Origin.

For some reason, I recall Bludgeon flying a ship with the Monsterbots in it. Or was that just a dream?

It's all ****** up.

You know, you could always re-read your copies of the relevant issues/tpbs.

Alternatively, there's always wiki'ing it. ;)

Thunderwing - In storage/locked away, post-Revelations and Jhiaxus' plans falling apart.

Sixshot - At large.

Scorponok - Garrus 9, still locked away or with Shockwave

Ratbat was in AHM as a Dolby cassette. He's most likely with Soundwave now.

Bludgeon - At large.

Banzai-tron - At large (if Arcee let him go)

Straxus - Presumably died in Revelations.

Arcee - At large.
Sidekick Books - Dangerously untested collaborative literature

That would require effort and time. And I'm quite a lazy chap. ;)

Well. At least being 'at large' spells potential for the future. [/quote]

isn't this a bit of a non issue?

Out of a cast of thousands all you are saying is we have not seen some people for a bit.

What's the fuss?

It suggests to me that while Prime and Ultra Magnus are farting around on Earth, numerous maniacally evil, super-tough Decepticons are wreaking havoc across the known Universe.

But that's OK because the war is 'over'.

Maybe Transformers is realistic after all!

I always thought it was unclear what happened to Hardhead? Did he just disappear back into the Dead Universe?

Yeah. I mean, unless Simon pops in for a good ole "It's over ! Finished!", it ain't over.

Are we sure that when they say "the war is over", they don't just mean the war on Earth? Has it ever been explicitly stated the war in over throughout the rest of the galaxy?

It just seems like such a ridiculous notion, I just have to give them the benefit of the doubt they meant just Earth.

Seems pretty irresponsible to leave that many Autobots on Earth if the galaxy is being ripped up Decepticons elsewhere...

Where's Flywheels? This is the important issue.

While I agree that Flywheels is indeed an important issue, I feel it must be placed on a back-burner until we have dealt with the distinct lack of concern for Pipes.

That would depend on what kind of Autobot defense you've got throughout the rest of the galaxy, wouldn't it?

I mean, apparently there are 10,000 Transformers out there per Prowl's calculations in his spotlight.

If there's an Overlord, there also could be a Vector Prime out there for all we know. So I'm willing to give IDW the benefit of the doubt unless someone can show we something that indicates they mean the war is over everywhere.

You give the benefit of the doubt in some pretty odd situations.

The leader of a vast military force who has just sat on his ass on earth for 3 years but its ok as a story because someone else off panal might be picking up the slack?

I've not been reading the new strip, is it ****?

It looked like it was going down the road of Spike giving out hard anal every week, with Decepticons reduced to doing dirty protests and getting electrocuted, whilst the Autobots sit around having tea and toast.

As a trade, I think it will actually be worth a read.

What I'm asking is, has anyone from IDW indicated clearly that the entire war is over, or could they just have meant Earth?

Because it's such a ridiculous notion, it would make Micromasters look brilliant.

As far as i can tell they have asserted this repeatedly. Prime seems to be centreing his whole new idiotic character around the notion that it's over. Prowl is whining about it. Hotrod is whining about it. Thundercracker is musing on it. Swindle is exploiting it. BB is shouting at UM about it.

Even if it isn't explicit that it is galaxy wide surely the fact that more or less the entire 'bot command team is on earth and they are saying it suggests it in away i don't think can be ignored.

Costa also explicitly gave that absurd Nazi analogy thus demonstrating that he failed to understand the events of AHM, all prevous continuity and World History at the same time. Which was at least efficient of him.

What might have been good is if a bunch of bots and cons had been left behind, and had no idea what was happening out there (which is kind of true of the cons) but the presenence of Prime, Omega, Jetfire and Magnus totally sinks that from a bot perspective.

Frankly the sooner they reveal that a vast amount of past their warrenty cerebro-shells are involved in all this the better.

Then again given 99% of AHM happened off panel maybe they are hoping if they keep it that way (along with the notion that Hunter has access to every security code ever) we may eventually forget about it all.

Doesn't sound like us though does it.

My guess is they'll use this to pull a G2 - the autobots get off Earth to find various rogue decep commanders have set up their own empires across the universe. The whole galaxy is ruled by the Decepticons and Earth and Cybertron are the only places left.

Of course, then Metroplex will show up with his awesome secret plot device, probably coinciding with Hot Rod kicking Starscream's arse and coming back home with the Matrix as the new Prime. And the Autobots win.

And then there will be cake.

well they ARE inherently evil.

I would think they would be Pretenders if they were transformers.. seeing as how a whole other being can come out of their shell...
