I've been bouncing back and forth between collecting GI Joes and Transformers over the last few years, and after a lengthy Joe spree I'm back into Transformers, specifically because of the Classics and Titanium lines. They're really quite amazing, which brings me to the topic at hand-
I just bought Titanium War Within Optimus at Target yesterday, and he's very flimsy in his joints, a lot like a rag doll. I can pose him, but I have to be careful when doing it. It was kind of surprising because I have a Titanium Rodimus and he's solid in both modes. Is this looseness in Oppy normal for these figures or the exception? I just ordered a Titanium Soundwave, should I expect him to be a lot like Optimus in this regard?

Floppiness is normal on War Within Prime. It was the first(second?) mold for the line and Hasbro didn't seem to realize metal is heavier than plastic. The line improved as it went on, though.
My condolences.Magna Prime wrote:I just ordered a Titanium Soundwave,

TWW Prime (first edition) and GI Joe (Maus tank) Megatron are horribly loose.
Nothing a few brushes of nail polish can't fix, though. I used that treatment on Megs, and he can be posed normally. Still falls apart if you lift him too much, though.
Soundwave - well, his "diaper" is quite ruining the toy. I saw a mod there once that had this fixed... dunno about it, should look it up.

I mean, his crotch... is HUGE. I just wish his leg joints at pelvis could be slided up, because the way he looks in robot mode is... weird. Too bad, because I love the mold otherwise. I wish they would have made the Titanium Soundblaster with the small Ravage...Magna Prime wrote:Hey BB, what exactly do you mean about Soundwave's diaper ruining the toy? I just got mine yesterday and the only issue I've run into with him so far is in Robot mode where his legs attach to his body it's a bit loose, otherwise no problems.

That can be fixed. Nail polish - the universal cure agains looseness!Sunyavadin wrote:The Fallen is absolutely superb. Good, solid joints, and really nice, detailed sculpting. My only gripe would be his floppy back panels.
I sooo want the Fallen.... and a lot of other Titaniums, but they cost ridiculous amounts for me, seeing as shipping them overseas is pricey. I just got TWW Prowl and Grimlock, they cost me 38,5$ each, and that's actually CHEAP considering they are pretty rare, being exclusives... Sigh.
