If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

You

I'm 36. How old is everyone on this board?
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Younger than you.
But this isn't about you or age, it's about how much time Legion has wasted/spent on an internet forum posting about transforming robot toys from the 1980's and their various associated media.
Good work.

I wondered who that was. You know it's a bitch to clean up right? It streaks if you don't get to it straight away.

It doesn't even feel like I've been here for almost two years. If Aaron feels like the kid then I feel like the toddler.
Bring me num-nums.

I am in my 9th year on Transfans.
have any of the rest of you managed to wrest control of it in this time?
No? ha.
Er - anyone know how to code?
That means i have been Transfannying since the mere age of 22.
My god. A lot has changed in that time, but at least you muppets are always here.

First you get the money, then you spend it on Transformers, then you get the women.
I got burgled over Christmas, and the burglars went through my stuff, found that it was mostly Transformers and left without taking anything. I would have at least grabbed the new Universe Galvatron.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I've been around since right before Beast Machines started, so that's about 9 years.
Wow.

Yeah. When you think of all the time we've wasted kicking around here. I mean, we could have all been outside playing some baseball or basketball or something...
Well, at least I have a perma-tan so I don't have to worry much about being pasty... *looks at arm*

I remember I joined in March 04 to take my mind off the stress of my wedding in May of 04. Who knew the madness a little wedding stress could lead to?
In case anyone's wondering, sprunkner is what my sister called me (spencer) not when she wanted to be cute, but when she wanted to annoy me.

Not as active as a lot of the members, but I've been registered since August 2001.
I actually used to post much earlier than that.
I used to go by the name Jazz. This was in the time before you could register nicknames. I took a brief break from TransFans, and by the time I got back someone had registered the name before me. I'm guessing my first posts would have been around April 2000? maybe a little earlier.
I then reached into a box of transformers and named myself after the one I pulled out.
Edit: i remember when the highest post count anyone had was like 2000, and if you got to 1000, there were so few people that had, you got a Unicron status...

didn't claypool sign up here and spend a night posting to get unicron status?(when it was a big deal) I signed on just after some drunkenmonkeybot business, I also think, hmm, a while ago now.

LEGION!... I have your coat Sire.
For you are a G.O.D.
Man... It's been a couple of *fast* 5, soon to be 6, years. A lot has changed since then, but in some respects, sadly, things are just the same as back then, in me life.
I joined up when I was around 18 or 19, I think? I had been lurking for more than a year tho, irresistibly drawn to the EXTENSIVE library of illegally scanned bootleg copies of Transformers comics, that Omega kept stashed.
Man... those were the days. I joined originally because I had just read the end of G2 I think, and the Alignment text-story had just been released for Auto-Assembly, and some kind enterprising individual ( was it good ol' Cliffjumper?) had scanned it and was sending it around like crazy.
Hey Der2, I wonder whatever happened to Claypool? And of course.. Blacksword. I wonder if he's finished his Law-school now? It's been a few years.

Okay, I've been signed up no time at all really, but I think I've been lurking since around 2005, initially drawn to the site by the excellent and oft-amusing reviews of the Dreamwave run... Only compelled to post by AHM, and the fact that no-one I know thinks my transformers "thing" is healthy at my age... which is old enough btw.
