Financial Buggeration

So! way way back when MP:Thundercracker was announced last year, I got a friend who is a fanatical tf collector to order me one, on the basis that it would be cheaper/quicker to get it abroad then wait for it's release in london. At the time it would've cost me £75.
Cue global financial meltdown come end of 2008, plus exchange rates going tits up resulting in me having to pay £115 instead.
"it was worth it though!" I thought. After all TC is my face character. Until I walked in a london comic store today and saw him for £90. Ninety quid!!!! People I feel cheated, and for the first time I have genuinely been affected by the crunch!
I'm still peeved off about it as I type!

Look on the bright side, if that's the worst that's happened to you in the meltdown, you're doing alright.Mr_Tigg wrote:So! way way back when MP:Thundercracker was announced last year, I got a friend who is a fanatical tf collector to order me one, on the basis that it would be cheaper/quicker to get it abroad then wait for it's release in london. Or maybe the lesson here is to always, always buy on impulse.
I mean't the credit crunch thing tongue in cheek, it has affected me in other ways of course.

Would it make you feel better if i told you of a friend of mine who managed to spend £3500 in a strip club whilst drunk?
About a month before he was due to shell out for his wedding as well!
At least you have something to show for your slightly inflated spending. All he got was several months of intercepting credit card bills.
