So, finally played this.
Sort of fun, sort of mind bendingly annoying due to poor controls and one of the worst game cameras i can remember.
But anyway - was it me or did this have a more compelling set of characters and plot than the entirity of Eps I-III?
SPOILER!!!!
Shame poor old Starbiscuit karks it at the end when he was a far more compelling character than spAnakin ever was. Plus he didn't get to honk honk with the ridiculously attractive Juno Eclipse.
Anyway - this almost made me like Starwars again.

In the UK at least, it's on Sky Movies, which is a premium rate channel. I too switched off the film around about the time Anakins Padwan was introduced. Really wish I hadn't stumped up the cash for the Blu Ray version.Yaya wrote:Did I just hear someone say the magic words?!!!Best First wrote:

As for the game. It's very average. It's design document must have been written ten years ago, then dusted off and slathered with HD effects to drag it kicking and screaming into 2008. It says something about how bad Star Wars has got, that the story on this doesn't seem that bad.

yup when the padawan turns up i just thought, this is all ******* wrong.
From the opening stupid voice over, to the utterly pointless tactical (read ****wit tactics) battle at the start, it completely fails on so many levels.
the script is childish, and devoid of any character, the opening plot is tied in somthing that misses the point of SW entirely, much like the new 3 films do.
SW isnt just about lightsabers and big laser fights, its about highly charasmatic characters and a decent script.
its somthing they have never achieved since, and probably wont again.
sorry but the new cartoon is as bad as the old TF cartoon. piss piss poor.

Honestly, I wasn't one way or another about the movie when it came out, but went and saw it with the BF. We enjoyed it, and he likes the TV show... he's said that he doesn't think it's mind-alteringly brilliant, but it's good fun. Reminds me of me when I try [tried] to reason my enjoyment of BM.
The movie is fine if you accept that it isn't going to be a masterpiece. That said... there are parts that made us both roll our eyes. But there were genuiniely interesting bits that made it worth the money we paid to see it, or at the very least not as bad a waste of money and time as Ghost Rider.
