Henkei Hound

Is pure love. Picked him up today along with Sideswipe.
Great transformation, lots of articulation and a perfect homage to the G1 toy. The Henkei version also has a much darker green paint job which makes him look more authentic than the lime green Hasbro version.
My fave Henkei/Classics figure by far.

I've had mixed results from ebay on importing stuff from that part of the world. Unfortunately these days, there is very rarely anything from UK sellers, and even then its at stupidly inflated prices.Hound wrote:I bought mine from a seller on eBay. Straight from Japan. Took about a week, I was impressed.
I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet. As you say - it looks better than the Hasbro paint job (and I'm convinced that UK shops have given up on the Universe line)

I have to be honest, I'm sucking up all the Henkeis like a car crash flid would with his mashed up roast dinner.
I must have spunked a fair old bit - and all I've done is had a fidgit with them then stuck them in a draw.
I do get them out from time to time. I just ******* love them though, they're so cool.
Ordered the ******* Magnus armour and the skywarp and thundercracker exclusives too, but my credit card that I ordered on had gone out of date by the time it came to paying - lucky that, as the pound had nosedived by then. Good thing with HLJ is that the yen is doing quite **** as well so it isn't costing a great deal more.

I too have been buying these things like they were going out of fashion. Curse my lack of willpower!
(Though they do get to hang out on a shelf in the living room at the moment, rather than hanging out with the other few hundred toys in crates in my sister's spare bedroom )

I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Shelving space is my problem... I'm a bit annoyed that I have all of this stuff and nowhere to put it. However, I'm thinking that I'll pick up a small display case from Ikea and rotate the content so I don't frighten/wierd out friends who don't know exactly how far gone I am.
I've paid my credit card off and am browsing BigBadToyStore... so very, very tempted to go on a TF shopping spree. OMG.

I got hasbro hound a couple of days a go. I admit the Henkai version looks much cooler. I have henkai sideswipe and his colour scheme is so much more vibrant than the hasbro produced toys. Not only do Hasbro pick average paint schemes, but they seem to be very dull and lifeless as well.
Incidently, my hound's holoprojector does not fit his shoulder at all. It's the only real gripe I have with the figure, but has otherwise tarnished a great toy - has anyone else had the same problems?

I have the Hasbro one as well and have the same problem. If I just have him standing on the shelf it'll rest on his shoulder ok, but it doesn't take much for it to fall off.Mr_Tigg wrote: Incidently, my hound's holoprojector does not fit his shoulder at all. I have all the classics. I also most of the Henkei also. There is a huge diffence. The most significant is Sunsteaker. Hasbro barely paint him yellow. The yellow is thinly painted and the black windsheild taints the yellow. Takara most use a better quality paint because Sunstreaker's chest is a bright yellow and not translucent.
