Hmm... I just realized that I mainly see so-called "genre"-movies.. and couldn't give bugger all about nearly everything else. Hmm.
Here be my list, and I think I'll be the only guy in the entire interwebs that will put them in this order.
1. IIIRON MAAAN ( Ozzy's mechanical voice)
2. The Dark Knight ( told ya' so)
3. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
4. The Incredible HULK.
5. Cloverfield
6...?? Hmm.. Aliens Vs Predator2? (just realized I haven't seen any more movies than this, from this year, this year.)
I'll probably be seeing Quantum of Solace too, but it's not quite the kind of movie I'll see by meself. More of a perfect thing for grabbing some non-geek friends or family and go see it.
EDIT: Just remembered that I actually saw Cloverfield, and 'twas all right.

The Dark Night
the rest were generic tosh i could have written myself whilst asleep in my bed.
Batman was the only movie this year which caught me off guard, it was dark, nasty and far more evil, mainly thanks to heath, than i expected it to be.
Indiana jones was the biggest pile of ******* wank i have seen in years. its not good in any way whatsoever - Ford is to old, the plot was ****, the acting hammy as [composite word including 'f*ck'] and the CGI was utter bollox.

1. Wall-E [I've never really been one for sentimentality at a film, and this one made me cry. It was either great or I was hormonal... maybe a bit of both...]
2.Iron Man
3.The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
4. Dark Knight
5. Kung Fu Panda
6. Hancock
I've seen a lot more, but those are the only ones I can think of at the moment that are worth mentioning... Death Race was hilarious, btw. And not in a good way.
"F**k with me, and we'll see who s**ts on the sidewalk!" Hahahahahahahaha!

1. The Dark Knight (watched it three times...)
2. WALL-E
3. Kung-fu Panda
4. Iron Man
5. Futurama - Bender's big score
6. Special (I know, it was a 2006 movie but I only saw it now. Sue me.)
erm... can't really name more, seeing as I tend to forget what movie came out when...
" There Will Be Blood " was awful. I almost fell asleep over it... So boring and was there even a moral or a plot there? People comparing this to 'Citizen Kane' seriously overrate this...
And Hellboy II was a big disappointment, much-much worse then even the first movie. A totally uninteresting plot, boring elf villain, Hellboy was annoying, the monster designs were too bizarre. I prefer Hellboy Animated over this, Guilemmo del Toro is waaay overrated (I'm already fearing what he'll do with the Hobbit...)

Yep, I'm planning to watch it myself - I'm not really into mindless violence but the whole death car racing and the weird customized 'Mad Max' cars remind me of Fallout a lot...Brendocon wrote:Caught Burn After Reading last night. My list has a new number seven.
And Death Race was awesome. Sometimes mindless high concept entertainment is required. It's the cinematic equivalent of Prison Break. With Ian McShane.

Yeah, the mindless action was grrrreat fun- it's what you go for when it comes to movies like that. I loved it in the sense that it was horrible. Hilarious, hilarious movie. Gave me my favourite movie line of the year.
In Bruges is decent. I know someone who swears up and down it's the best film he's ever seen- I wouldn't go that far, but it's pretty good. I was bored with Hellboy pretty much from the beginning. Whatshertits didn't improve that... she's like the female Nicholas Cage. Yech.

Moral? Maybe that blind ambition will leave you old and alone with no company other than a pool of somebody else's blood. Not really beyond that.BB Shockwave wrote:" There Will Be Blood " was awful. Plot? Two blokes trying to screw the other over.
It's the performances that carry it.
And, for the record, I think Citizen Kane is rubbish.
