Rodimus Prime in Colour

The first is the original pencil drawing, done in 2002 from a UK annual, the second is the coloured version I contrast corrected and coloured in May this year.

A friend has suggested I remove the pencil lines in the leg. Whaddya think? I originally dropped colour via the paint bucket but lost some of the quality of the lines, so I went back and coloured it using the traditional adjustments>Hue & Colourisation. Should I smooth out the lines?

Yeah, I'd say that doing something with those pencil lines would make the overall effect look more even. As it stands, it's almost as if he's got pristine feet, but his shins have just been drenched. Works great in the pencil sketch, mind.

Oh, and very tiny, slight point - that's Rodimus Prime, not Hot Rod. Rodimus Prime is orange torso and red limbs, while both are purple on Hot Rod. ;)

I'm starting to make a few changes but it's looking a bit, ****. I've some more dirtier versions of the colours of the feet:
