Anyone seen this on the interwebs?
Basically the story goes that the final episode of St. Elsewhere revealed that the whole show had taken place in the imagination of an autistic boy called Tommy Westphall. But since St. Elsewhere crossed over with Homicide: Life on the Streets, therefore Homicide also took place in Tommy's imagination. Taken to its logical extremes (i.e. all shows that cross over with each other take place in the same universe) it can (and has been) deduced that all these shows take place in Tommy's imagination. There are 282 of them at the last count, including Buffy, Lost, Deep Space 9, Red Dwarf and Doctor Who. Some crossovers are more tenuous than others, but it does seem that little Tommy is the most important fictional character in television...have a look:

The author of the Westphall Multiverse has admitted to loving the 6 objections, partly because it stops bloggers taking everything he says too seriously and partly because it gives him somewhere to aim his hatemail at.
I've read both, and I think the Westphall Multiverse is a far more entertaining hypothesis because, well, wouldn't it be great if it were true?
