Iron Man

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Yes yes yes.

A thousand times yes.

The credits go on for days, but by [composite word including 'f*ck'] is it worth it.

What happens after the credits?

PM is cool if it's a big spoiler.

Nevermind. YouTube'd it. Awesome.

Iron Man was friggin' brilliant. Marvel Studios is off to a really good start.

I thought I'd read about Sam's (not Witwicky nudgenudge) involvement with this movie from this other place. The fact that it's already Youtubed is a little disturbing though.

EDIT: Yeah, IMDB learned about this one first.

I don't want to give away the (1st) ending, but I honestly did not see that coming.

Me neither. Mostly due to never being able to remember how that aspect is played in the comics.

Lurved it all.

It was ace, and I was pre-warned about the credits thing, though by some guy on b3ta (who missed it himself) who complained about having to sit through "the nu-metal they want to sell on the soundtrack".

I just cussed him down hard for describing Sabbath as "nu-metal", but thanked him for the warning.

Yeah, it was a great film. Action, humour and Paltrow. I came away a very happy man.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

I was surprised at how much I ended up liking this flick. It's at least as good as the first Spider-Man. Tony Stark IS Robert Downey Jr.

I think this pretty much sums up my opinion of it:
IMDB trivia for Iron Man wrote:Jon Favreau describes the film as "a kind of independent film-espionage thriller crossbreed; a Robert Altman-directed Superman (1978), with shades of Tom Clancy novels, James Bond films, RoboCop (1987), and Batman Begins (2005)."
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0371746/trivia

Although, I'd replace RoboCop with RoboCop 2. Especially near the end of the films.

The film far exceeded my expectactions. Most of it is down to Downey Jr, his sparky chemistry with Paltrow and very cool effects that made me grin like a fool.

Didn't stay for the end credit scene though. Doh!

Iron Man 2!
Thor!
Captain America!
The Avengers!

I hope that the Avengers actually comprise solely of Hawkeye and the Maximoff siblings.

Hopefully Tom Cruise didnt take the role of Tony Stark in Iron Man.

I´d have hated it

Robert Downey Jr made his entire life to fit as Tony

Given TLA's post, I thought this was appropriate.

Kinda.

Finally saw Iron Man last week - it was the balls.

And while i was expecting samuel L J at the end - i was not expecting him to use that word or Shield to be so prominant.

Yessss.

S.H.I.E.L.D = Good

Sam Jackson as Nick Fury = Let Down

I am excited about Terrance Howard as War Machine, hopefully they'll do it, but you never know with the way Hollywood loves to f**k up my childhood comics.
