video game help needed

in the gba game "lunar legand" I cant save i save then after its confirmed i turn the game off but when I turn it back on and no files are save can anyone tell me why?

I think GBA games run using the Advance's battery, which is recharged with a cable that plugs into an electrical outlet. If the battery was dead the console wouldn't turn on for more than 10 seconds.Karl Lynch wrote:iirc the save games are stored on the actual game using a little watch battery (though I'm basing that on older GB games). I think the problem lies within the game cartridge. It could be dust(blow inside it) or simply a glitch with the game itself.
