Botanica

How is it that Botanica can get inside Megatron's defense and hear their the distress calls while other more war like ships can't? How did she survive when everyone else couldn't not even members of her own ship? I might be inclined to think she kill them or is passive aggresive. One moment is passive and the next violent. She had a lot of powerful weapons for someone who is against fighting. Are they only defense like thorns and poisons in plants? :?:

Botanica didn't 'get inside Megatrons' defenses. It was those defenses that shot her ship down causing it to crash. Who knows how many other ships had also suffered similar fates?
As to more 'war like ships' who's to say that that hadn't happened? Or maybe the Maximals just didn't have war ships. I'm sure there would have been some agreement in the Pax Cybertronia forbidding either side from building ships of war.
As to her crew, those that didn't die in the crash might well have fallen victim to her out of control alien form, yes.
And yes, her 'weapons' do seem to be geared into being more defense than offensive. She's a pacifist, she doesn't like or want to fight, and only does so when she really has to or is forced to.

I really should watch all of that there Beast Machines...

For shame that Botanica didn't get a toy, yes? Rather prominent character in that season, and no toy. As far as I know, she would have been the only one ever, to transform into a plant, aye?

I always thought Alpha QUintesson from Energon was meant to be the Botanica toy originally..

Err, What now..??

Talk about obscure, man... I take it you're quite the fan of the cartoon, then? :eyebrow:

It's not obscure. It's no more obscure than Unicron being made by a monkey. It just depends on what episodes you've seen.

And no, I'm not a fan of the cartoon. It's mindless pap. Which, given that's your specialist subject, makes it surprising you didn't know.

Oh, I see. So the episode with the legendary high quality animation, and wich happens to mention that Unicron is in reality a space-monkeys rubber-ducky gone bad is no less obscure? Really? For sure? Honest to guv'?

I can't deny it!! It's cartoon-logic!

Seems like you've got a bit of an attitude, eh? How so? Fish and chips on your shoulder? Stick up your private waste-disposal?

Ladies and gentlemen, I do believe that we've already got one of the most promising candidates for ye' annual n00b of the year awards. :D

But will anyone be around in January 2009 to present it?

They're both precisely ONE episode of the original animated series. Just because YOU haven't seen it makes no jot of difference to me. In the however-many years I've had to put up with you here, I haven't asked your permission before referencing something before, and I'm sure as [composite word including 'f*ck'] not going to start now.

Mighty [composite word including 'f*ck'], you really are a moron, aren't you?

Ahh... the salty smell of insults in the morning. There truly is nothing better. 8)

I do wonder... whatever happend to a dashing young fellow I used to know? He was one of the clan O'connelly he was. They always did have their... special ways, but this lad atleast had those dashing looks going for him.

Interestingly enough, that's one of the reasons I love the cartoon so damn much.

As for Botanica, it's s real shame she didn't get a toy. Here's hoping that balance will be redressed someday.
Why doesn't anyone like me?
