Was Dinobot a good influence on the other maximals? Silverbolt took his honor and idealism from him. Was Dinobot a bad influence? He taught the preds lessons many times. Did he teach Megatron one? Were Silverbolt and Dinobot the same character? Were they too similar to each other?

Er, no. Silverbolt displayed those characteristics from pretty much the moment he popped out of his stasis pod. Remember that Dinobot was the only Maximal who wanted to scrap him.

Erm, no. And no.

Silverbolt was a Maximal who was momentarily tricked into thinking himself a Predacon, but quickly came around.

Dinobot was a Predacon who decided to become a Maximal because it suited him. Cue some fractured loyalties as the balance of power changed, followed by a gesture of redemption.

Most certainly not the same character.
