Unbreakable

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Unbreakable

A couple hours ago I saw this movie after a long time. I find it -again-very compelling and great in every sense.

Maybe because I love comic books. Loved Jackson s and Willis performances.

What do you think of it?

I actually prefer it to The Sixth Sense. It's one of Willis' best IMO.

Enjoyed it, particularly Samuel Jackson's acting, which I usually am not very keen about (Mace Windu?)

It think M.Night Shamalayahajldnelahhdjedayan tries to be too clever, and most of the time something with great potential becomes cheese. ("swing away"?)

I also thought it was great. It's a little slow at times, but I definitely prefer it to Sixth Sense. It's probably only behind Signs in terms of my fave M. Night films. Probably because those two films are the only ones where I didn't see the twist coming from a mile away.

The first time I saw sixth sense I though it was pretty good, but it really has no rewatchability. Unbreakable, on the other hand, is actually a descent film that could be rewatched despite already knowing the twist.

That's actually a good point and have found that true myself.

The Sixth Sense I feel is somewhat overrated, but on the acting front, particulary the mother and the kid, are Academy Award material, IMO.

I like it, I thought the sixth sense was **** after solving the plot twist from watching just a trailer. The film was pretty hammy, and cliched and I dunno, didnt work for me.

I watched it (Unbreakable) again last night.

Having done so, there's a few bits that seem like they could almost have been effortlessly inserted into the plot of Heroes.

Probably doesn't hurt that I rewatched a random first-season episode of Heroes immediately beforehand. ;)
