With character bios (OP, BB, Prowl, Ratchet, Bulkhead, Sari, Megs, SS) and... interestingly... episode synopsises for all 29 episodes!!! Plus, a 3 minute short preview from part 1. - Starscream is ACE! (and BA's voice is pretty good too)

Must say, I haven't been this excited about a TF series in years. (well, except when I thought there'd be a cartoon for TF Classics...)
Some info, but beware of...

- Dinobots appear in episode 6., apperently, Sari's dad builds them from theme park dinosaur statues (explaining why thy look that way) using TF tech gained from Megs's head, but they end up developing minds of their own.
-Lockdown appears in #7, plus, Mouse-Poo (who is pretty much like his old Marvel G1 self according to his bio with some elements of Kup added) reminiscens of the "great war".
-Blackarachnia stylishly appears in #9 while BB and Bulkhead experience Halloween...
- read #10's recap - I'm pretty certain we're going to see a certain Decepticon Communications officier appear in that one...
-Human villains include the Flash-like Nanosec, a guy who's infused with TF body fluid called Meltdown, and a rather interesting villain called... "Headmaster" - who's speciality is to control TFs...
-Megatron rises in a double parter episode, 15-16.
-'Cybertron Elite Guard' arrives in #17., Magnus I'd guess.
-Sentinel Prime, OP's old rival, in #19....
-Weird Al, aka Junkion in #20 (as a junk-bot animated by the allspark)
-Interestingly, there are only two Construticons, and they start out as 'newbies' given life by the Allspark, befriending Bulkhead before Megatron sets his sights on them. Interesting... I just hope they don't bring back the Robo-Smasher...
-In #25, Bumblebee pursues a traitor Autobot!!! Doubledealer?!? We can only hope...
-In #26 Prime and Grimbo has to join forces against Blackarachnia and Meltdown... looking forward to that one. They get along well... well, not really.
All in all, we'll be looking forward to a certainly interesting new series and can hope to see familiar faces again...

Seems a nice mix of the old and new. Should be fun, at least. I don't thinks OPs voice suits him, though....

I suppose but if im being brutally honest, the art style is just a bit to slack for me.Hound wrote:Same as all Transformer cartoons then?Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:It was fun but, well, its a bit thin isnt it?
If it wasnt for the names the characters have, it could be power-puff girls for all I know...

G1: Megatron comes up with blindingly stupid plan involving custard, a pitchfork and a chinese knock-off figurine of Dennis the Menace. Megatron is foiled by the Autobots when they throw a potato directly into his eye. Megatron runs away. Autobots chill out to some light piano music.
G1 Part Deux: Galvatron screams about the carrot people stealing his octopus factory. Rodimus Prime angsts about being angsty. The Quintessons cackle a bit. Magnus and Springer try to react to all this with a straight face. Repeat.
Headmasters: Starts strongly... then becomes consumed by Wheelie and Daniel's stupidity. Galvatron gets more loony, new characters appear and old ones announce they're going on extended vacation.
Masterforce and Victory: Surprisingly good, even if the stereotypical animation cliches of 'angst vein, sweatdrop and fall-over-nose-bleed' are used a bit too much. Catchy.
Beast Wars and Beast Machines: It's well written, doesn't disappear up it's own posterior (well, maybe halfway through Beast Machines...) and can laugh at itself! Awesome!
Robots in Disguise: Blindingly stupid. But it knows it is, so I forgive it. I can just only enjoy it in small doses.
Armada/Energon/Galaxy: Blindingly stupid. But doesn't know it. Again, forgiveable in small doses but more than two episodes make my brain hurt. Would be better if the characters were... characters and not more cliche Japanese anime archetypes (proud, arrogant kid, goofy best friend, wise leader etc.).
So out of 11 series I'd say less than half are anything vaguely watchable. And, in heretical fashion, I'd argue most of those are Japanese. I wouldn't exactly say the bar has been set restrictively high...

Im not saying the plots are any more credible but the art style, well, I think its all a bit cheap. I guess the drawing characters like they did in the G1 cartoon on various other cartoon of that ilk is just to expensive now.
Its odd because i think the style really worked on clone wars but perhaps thats because there was more detail on CW?

Not from what I heard - they'll be somewhat of a third party, attacking both sides and doing whatever they want, pretty much like when Grimbo took the Dinos on extended leave when he was displeased with OP's leadership in Marvel.Stormwolf wrote:I'm keeping a open mind on this one, it might be good.
Though I fear that they'll turn the Dinobots into idiots

Yes, i imagine a great deal of expense would have to be laid out to produce glory such as this...Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:Im not saying the plots are any more credible but the art style, well, I think its all a bit cheap.
