Goodnight Vienna

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

While not good loosing, at least it means that next summer we'll be free of pubs full of idiots in St George bowler hats, people with next to no knowledge of football screaming foul everytime an England player gets tackled, ridiculous media campaigns, England scraping out of their group and falling at the next hurdle and the ******* rest.

Oh, and that ginger Mike Baldwin ****.

You're all welcome to cheer for Sweden next summer.

This is our fifth consecutive international footy tournament. I find it impressive that we made it yet another year, considering we are such a small country - and our domestic league suck balls.

So, José Mourinho for english manager?

That would be awesome - and incredibly interesting

A lot of swedish football fans are sad that England didn't qualify. English football is a big part of the swedish (football) community.
In 1969 the swedish television network started airing English league football on saturdays (and sundays), the first non-swedish league to be shown on swedish television - and this tradition is still going (this weekend seven Premier league games are shown on televison).
The premier league is much much more popular than La Liga (Primera Division) and Serie A.

A lot of swedish fans - and swedish football players - have grown up watching english football.

So a lot of swedish fans are feeling for you.

(I'm really tired, so sorry if this post doesn't make that much sense)

Sweden play footy with bollocks.

They know their limitations, they dont swan around like they own the ******* place.

For example, Anton Ferdinand walked out of court the other day after getting a not guilty in an assault case where he threw the first punch in a 1 sided group beating that left some guy half deaf... because the other guy looked at him funny... and what he did was slap hands with his wonky mouthed **** of a brother and the immortal words 'that's what I'm ******* talking about' were spouted.

Vile *****, there are a lot of top flight players I'd like to see murdered.

ugh, what a disgrace, McLaren is ****, and the players, well I know ppl are saying they didnt try and stuff, personaly, i think they were trying, in all the games, but the tactics were ******* dire.

I think the players dont perform because they simply cant under McLarens ideas.

Anyhows, were out, and im gutted, I love the european and WC tournes, its somthing I really look forward to. We dont deserve to be there, and in a way, that sort of makes it easier to stomach.

Jose all the way please...

Publicly unpopular England Manager with history of being crap gets fired for being crap.

I wonder if Scolari would've lasted longer...

We can easily finish third in that group. NO PROBLEM.

Make me manager.

Or, alternatively, just give me the massive compensation pay-off.

Worst comes to the worst, we'll be better than 7th.

Nah, I'd just read a news article which namechecked Scolari as one of the other choices for Sven's successor, and it said he'd been as unpopular among the fans as McLaren. At the time.

Thought I'd post it as it seemed relevant and also made it look as if I knew something about football.

You win the non-prize for finding me out.
