I would've preferred it if Nova Prime didn't change his name by the dead universe version of deed poll.

I'm undecided on how well it would serve the comic to have Ratchet killed.

I can see him getting quadraspazzed on a life glug and maybe one of the kids transforming from awesome fuly posable human to stationary bloody lumps and bits and then not back again.

Ratchet dying after Ironhide's already been trashed = see what happens to people who buck authority. Also eliminates the gateway character, which is sad.

I think they should kill Prowl. In a "see what happens when you're an annoying jobsworth" move.

Edit - that's reason #587202 why Megs Origin was wank. Prowl's, like, in charge of the universe. Huge fall from grace to be in charge of a unit at a backwater like Earth then, innit? If Starscream thought it was sad being asked to take the place over, think how Prowl must have felt about being in charge of stopping him...

Actually, I was going to say does something completely honorable and obvious death thus redeeming himself...

But he's already tried that hasn't he, and tbf he's not been that much of a cock. He is an anus and completely ruled "by the book", but he was totally prepared to get ****** by Astrowanker in an attempt to preserve that ****** facsimile to help the greater good.

And then, they could have Spotlight: Prowl, where we learn that he once followed a similar career path to (Spotlight) Hot Rod, but instead of going all "secret shame, don't let it show, act like nothing's wrong", he'd go all "see what happens when you ignore protocol? people die! get things done by the book from now on, sport", which could also go on to explain his dislike of Hot Rod.

Alternatively, it could show how he lived it up while being in charge of the whole universe, but gave it all up for the vain hope of having a trailer for his very own.
