Interestin', I've seen the tech demo-footage that's been floating around for some time, but this was all new, and slightly different footage.
Looks pretty cool actually. Seeing as there were footage from the first movie, does this mean that you will get to play trough some stuff from the first and second movies, and then you will enter into the realm of hell that is Ghostbusters3?
'Twould be awesome for sure.

The footage in Jan was essentially fake, some indie company trying to flog an idea really.snarl wrote:It's a completely different game to the footage shown in Jan.
It basically sounds like GB 3, only it's going to be a video game, not film.
This new footage is the real deal, I think its from the Half Life guys. The guy who plays Egon & Dan Akroyd are heavily involved in scripting and all of the actors have leant their likenesses to the game.
So far its very promising!

tbh, I think Hollywood tends regards Aykroyd as a bit washed up, Hudson as very washed up and Ramis is now mainly a director...
I've heard the GB3 has been pitched loads of times but never got the green light. I personally think that's good. I dont want some fresh faced you ***** stepping in to help out the old guys. I'm sure this is what it would have to be in order to get made.
They pissed on TFs to make a decent popcorn flick, but that never had any heritage as a film.
A 3rd GB film, made with TF values, the values that a lot of modern movies seem to be made to - i.e. a flash throaway load of **** with some pretty young actors in - would enrage me.
I think Murray tends to think the same thing. So this way, we get a project that all the originals are involved in. And plus it'll be brandnew, but retro. Hopefully they'll do a good job.
I would have effing loved it if they made TFs set in the actual 80s.

AFAIK Bill Murray's had this weird hangup that he won't do a 'sequel to a sequel', but apparently this game is enough of a loop-hole for him to do it
This is probably the best way thinking about it, tbh, since they are all essentially old men now (except Ernie Hudson, who would appear to be ageless and STILL looking good!) and CGI would be the only way to go. Otherwise the only story we could realistically have would be the old one about them being old men and training up 'replacements' which is rather cliche.
Bill Murray could have potentially pulled it off if he died his hair, Dan Ackroyd and Ramis are obviously light years past their sell-by date tho
