Super Mario Galaxy

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Best game ever?

I Dont use that phrase lightly to be honest but [composite word including 'f*ck'] me, Nintendo know how to make at least one good game every decade...

I dunno, aint played it.

I was playing SNES Mario Kart on my emulator yesterday though, and I can honestly feel that it is still effing brilliant, it's one of the only games I play along with Freecell and PES.

last night I was trying to beat my course record for the first race and my dog came and put her nose on my lap asking for some ****** food or whatnot and completly ****** it up. I flew into such a rage.

Is it that good then Mark? I'm never very keen on 3D platformers TBH (although I'm very tempted by Ratchet and Clank). Ninty are usually pretty tight with their first party titles.

I've ordered Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 for the Wii.
If they suck, Mario Galaxy will be my Wii's last chance.

If I don't like Galaxy I'll sell the whole thing, and buy a 360 so I can play PES. The greatest game in the world

Its god like, seriously.

Its like, Nintendo took mario 3, realised what was so amazing about it, and painted it over mario 64. Whilst, at the same time, adding amazing controlls to it, finally a wii game with decent controlls!

Nintendo at its complete best, and its been a while in my book but SMG is just ******* awesome, every last tiny detail has somthing cool about it, the graphics, the controlls, the imagination of 100 genius's plus Miyamoto all comming together.

And the music is ******* amazing too, that was a shock.

Not been this awed by a game, since, well, Mario 64 I suppose, its like ive gone back in time 10 years...

Dont listen to me, stroll down to game, or tescos, and pick up a copy, and a wii now, I swear on my life you will thank me for making u feel young again.

Of course, if u dont like Mario games, um, i cant help you!

I'll be picking it up for sure. :) Looks like Ninty is trying to do something new to the genre.

Will return with intel if it's indeed the best thing since creamed corn once I do... :o

I'll chalk reading your intel right up on my to-do list, along with studying your signature images to ensure I'm aware which TV shows you watch.

EDIT-
In other game related news: This is going to kick so much ass!

It's a wonderful game. I was playing for hours last night with a big grin the whole time. It's been a while since I have been able to play a game that doesnt take itself seriously. Nintendo do tend to whore Mario out a bit too much for my liking, but his proper games are always worth waiting for (Sunshine was still a very good game).

The graphics are wonderful too, for a Wii game, almost on par with similar style games on 360 & ps3. What a shame that Nintendo are the only ones able to get the best out of the machine.

**** loads!

Seriously tho, I think Nintendo havent been at the races for some time now. SMG is like a huge throw back to everything that made them great.

So many great games out at the moment,

Halo 3,
COD4,
Crysis,
Mass Effect on friday
Orange Box
SMG
Heavnly Sword (sort of good)

more than enough tho!
