TRANSFORMERS 2
Visual effects supervisor Scott Farrar is quoted at Sci Fi Wire talking about what to expect from the sequel. "It's a circus, and they're going to raise the tight-wire walker a little bit higher next time," he said. "But it's all going to be dramatic. I think the commitment is not to just chuck out a sequel. The commitment is -- and this makes us really happy here -- that it's a deep story. There are lots of layers to the story of all these Decepticons, everybody. And so they want to really keep the characters rich."
now, i didn't mind TFTM as it goes, but story layers? deep story (magic cube! good! evil! wanking gags! fighting!) rich characters?
people talk a whole lot of self deluded sh*t sometimes don't they?

Ah, they're talking about putting a deep story into the sequel.
I'm envisaging a Decepticon power struggle, akin to that seen in The Godfather. Where Megatron is on his way out, and the 'con who just wanted to get on and be an accountant has to step up as his successor. And how Starscream deals with it.
Or maybe just some explosions. Explosions are cool.
Grrr. Argh.

Rich characters?
...
But seriously, someone needs to lay off the pot. The only decepticons with even the slightest character were Megatron(Grr! Evil Monster!), Bonecrusher(Hate! Hate! Hate!), and Frenzy(...Wierd...thing...).

I looked on the first movie as the generic introduction movie it was, same as Hulk, Godzilla and X-men and yadda yadda yadda... Shame they never made a Godzilla sequel, might've been good. Hoping one day we'll get a Hulk sequel.
However, I remember Speilberg saying he wanted to make 3 movies and I take hope from that.
They should get Irvin Kershner in to direct.

But Robocop 2 with script by Frank Miller was the best one in the series...
Btw Aux, Ozz link tells you about the big-time actors attached for the Hulk, but have you seen the concept-art for the new Hulk?

Yeah, I read that too, and laughed.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

ah nice, Ed Norton and Liv Tyler...Awesome.
So glad they realised the Hulk had potential that was untapped in the first movie and gave the franchise a second shot.
and that Hulk image looks tight

Robocop 2 was not scripted by Frank Miller.
He wrote a script for it, it got turned down, then it got re-written completely.
Who'd I like to do TF's...
Probably best if they let us here at Transfans do it to be honest. I just have to clench my fist and bite it when I see what some of the people on other foums think would be 'cool' or 'happening'.
Jesus, my biggest passions other then fanny are Prince, Spurs and TFs...
All three are massive outspoken whiney **** magnets.
I just want to kill humans sometimes. I dont think that makes me a bad person.

Did you have a brain tumor for breakfast?
Robocop 1 is an all time classic, quite possibly, IMO one of the best films ever made in the history of film making.
R2 is a ******* abortion of a movie thats simply a lame throwback to R1 in attempt to milk more money from the franchise.
