My face is red.

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I had the typical "dude that wears t-shirt and jeans all the time"-look earlier this summer: my arms were red. Everything else was pale as death.

I stay out of the sun if I can help it. I only got tanned feet on my holiday from wearing sandals.

Did get attacked by mosquitos though, and had my body covered in red bumps.

I'm still wearing the melanoma from going gliding back in mid-July.

Anyone know what the highest factor available is, btw? My multiple applications of 25 don't seem to cut it anymore.

I went to a school fair one time with a sleeveless shirt and no sunscreen. I couldn't lift my arms for a week. :(

Us Asians don't burn that easily - the last time it happened was when I was a kid, I distinctly remember it being centralised in my chest area.

OTOH there was this time when I was in Australia, when a really deep tan set in but not enough to cause sunburn. Unfortunately the tan lines, which were from a sleeveless vest btw, turned out lopsided for some reason. :(

My white-skinned and red-haired boyfriend uses factor 50 on the face.

I was in Greece ten years ago and forgot to use sunscreen on my feet.
When I woke up the next day they had swollen up and were purple

I stayed in that day and played Gameboy :)

I think my worst sunburn ever would have to be about 15 years ago, holidaying in Wales, I fell asleep on the beach with my glasses on. Felt fine when I woke up, and for the rest of that day, but the next morning, my eyelids had swollen so much that I was unable to open them. So, effectively blind for the next day or so. Fun!

Factor 50, eh, Eline? I'll have to look out for that. :)

Don't forget: if you apply a too thin layer of factor 50 it only works as good as say factor 20. So be careful. :(

Oh, I'm sure I won't take the opportunity to misapply before next summer. :(
