Ice Cream Van

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Ice Cream Van

Post by _Derek_ » Sat Jul 14, 2007 3:54 pm

I keep hearing the music from the van roaming around town, but I never see him. I know I'm not mad, because other people I've asked have heard it too, I now am driven to the point whereupon I need to prove he is in fact real. He is to this point existing on the same plane for me as Santa Claus and The Easter Bunny.

All I want is a cone, maybe some sauce and that will be enough proof for me. One of the girls I live with suggested that I take a picture too and considering how daft my problem is I believe her to be right, why not?

I have as yet to sit down and devise any solutions as yet, maybe I should just get up on time?

Getting up on time is just the first step. Tell the police you suspect terrorist activity and they'll cordon the roads off. That sucker's not going anywhere. :)

Get the media on it and their ice cream racket will be in the open!

The trucks are okay, but the carts that the local tejanos push around are where it's at. Same frozen treats for much, much less.

Fudge and banana bomb-pop...Yum. :joy:

Are you quite sure that shouldn't read "tho only I can hear him"?

Seriously, you need a street plan of your area and do some recon of possible surveillance points for future 5:30's.

Flush him out! He'll rue the day he taunted you with that Pied Piper-style melody!

Soon as I get a picture of him I'll post it here.

It was enough work lying in bed to hear the van go by at that hour.

So far I have an estimated time that he goes by, just have to be there when he does.

But now to see it is not enough, I must purchase one of his ice cream cones.

FYI; It gets pretty dull where I live at times.
