I'm back!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I'm back!

Post by angloconvoy » Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:14 pm

Back online that is, after a year with no net connection I finally gave in and got one installed at home. Which means regular myspace blog updates, regular visits to forums like this, and regular access to naked lady pictures.

Also, might be visiting england towards the end of this year, so hope to catch up with the usual suspects for a few drinks if I do.

On a side note, went out in the ropey ex-pat area last night and have a serious hangover. The missus and her mates are going out there next weekend too, so I think I'm getting roped into going. Hopefully I can avoid it for a few months after that though, its really not my favourite.

Welcome back.

'The missus and her mates' sounds to me like you'd be the only male in their company or something. Just tell them you have to stay off the alcohol so you can better bodyguard them (whatever they call it).

Chaperone / responsible adult / pimp are the preferred terms in my social circle.

Nice to see you again. Are you in Kyoto? I was looking for a job there at one point.

Christ, it might just be me and a bunch of 23 year old japanese chicks. My sanity could well need the alcohol. I'm trying to drag my friends out too to make the whole affair less tedious.

Hey sprunk, nah I'm in Chiba, which is technically a prefecture but functionally is more like a suburb of Tokyo. I hear Kyoto is bloomin' lovely though.

And you are..? :o

Well, I do barely remember you, I hope you do to?

Hmm. I guess spring has come to most of Japan? And I believe some kind of pink flowers bloom then? Flowers in big gardens, in trees, yes?

Don't listen to him!

I think he's Commander Shockwav signing in with another alias. He's notorious for pulling such stunts.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Spiderman was all Besters fault, though I have enjoyed retelling the legend since :D

Oh and yayness for the weekend, I've been invited to a birthday party at one of my favourite bars, so the girlfriend and her mates can go do their thing, while I have the perfect getout.
