Amazing what you can find.

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Amazing what you can find.

I have been in Japan for almost 6 months now. Most of my time has been spent in Fukuoka City and I thought that I knew the area pretty well. Apparently not. Right by the subway station I found a couple of stores I hadn't bothered with before.

The first store turned out to be a 7-story shopping mall. The top floor was taken up by an arcade. The 6th floor had this massive hobby shop. Tons of anime-related goodies and a Full Service Dolfie shop (if you're gonna spend 500 pounds on a doll, this is the place to do it). Their selection of recent Transformers included most of the Kiss Play stuff, MP-03, 04, and 05, and a couple of Revoltech figs.

Quite pleased at finding a decent hobby shop in the area, I continued along the street until I found another store. I was unprepared for this place.

5 floors. Each floor more amazing than the last. 1st floor, just about every video game you could want dating back to before the Famicom. 2nd floor, manga, manga, and more manga. 3rd floor, girls stuff and cosplay. 4th floor, DVDs as far as the eye could see. 5th floor...

Oh, the 5th floor...

I was taking my sweet time, checking out Gundam and Evangelion stuff that I didn't even know existed. Stuff that would make Western Otaku mess themselves. My girlfriend, not as enthused with the tiny details of random anime toys went on ahead of me. She walked back over to me and said, "Um. You need to see this isle."

I walked over to said isle as she looked at me expectantly. "Huh." I said cooly. "Apparently I was wrong in my views on God."

That's what I bought. I am hoping to go back next week for the rest of it.

Maybe he means Abominus.

And to be honest, Hot Rodimus on its own is a pretty spiffy remold, pity about the KissPlayer thing. Maybe they heard the fans saying they 'wouldn't touch KissPlayers with a twenty foot pole', and guess what, Hot Rodimus comes with one. Hah.

As KISS Rodimus goes for around 130 on Ebay, buying 2 at 55 each seemed like an obvious choice.

Any cool Godzilla stuff?

And I don't know if you remember Spectreman, but if you come across anything Spectreman related, mind taking a pic of it? That would be cool.
"But the Costa story featuring Starscream? Fantastic! This guy is "The One", I just know it, just from these few pages. "--Yaya, who is never wrong.

Do you have a picture of what Spectreman looks like?
