It sure indeed is, and I believe that ol' Bob B himself may have sketched this prelim-cover that was never used. A truly rare gem!

This cover has gone quite a long way since I got ahold of it, since as you can see in this link, I had to do quite some work on the less than stellar "scan". EDIT: The link has been nuked, but the original was a very bad contrast photo, from an angle even!

Back in the day, this sketch eventually turned into the cover of Transformers #9.

Anyways, I actually found the link to what the original scan used to look like, so have a gander lads.

I'd love to know who the original artist actually was... I know Bob B has actually drawn a preliminary page or two, so I still think it's him.

Hard to argue with Wildman in his prime, nowadays I'm not so sure tho.
