I'm not actually sure if he wrote this one, but "This Is Not Your Father's Autobot," from the cover of G2 #1, is my favorite. It was 1993. This was a nine-year-old franchise. My father never had an Autobot.

Nonetheless though, that was one bad ass fold out cover, with the shotgun shell in the side of Optimus's face. I LOVED that series.

But remember, he likes time travelling.

Maybe in the future of your past your father will have an autobot.

Just like the 3rd Summer brother, everything is possible! :)

I know. I wish Yaniger could come back for IDW. I wonder if he's been pursued. G2 was the height for me.

I think Furmy has used the phrase "Lets give so-and-so the worst case of indigestion he's ever had!" about 2 billion times. Bless.

Yeah, I can't believe those were the last lines of Nightbeat before he blew himself up in G2...

I'm also getting pretty tired of giant robots saying "Geez"! Am I right that Geez is derived from 'Jesus!'?

I cringe a bit sometimes when his buffy teenagers are doing the chattums.

I actually thought the speech in Infiltration about "we live on the edge... there's a word for us... Crazy!" was pretty bad. He could have left that part out.

yep.

i thought Jimmy's "to me vehicles are like an archeological dig" or whatever was pretty wanky.

Simon could do with reviewing Runaways from a teen dialouge perspective IMO.

Urg, yeah.
Still, at least it's no "the sum totality of my psychic powers"...

While I happen to like the grunts and noises he gives characters, I think he used "SHHEE-AAKK!!" or very similar as someone#s deathscream a couple of times, and that assemblage of letters is just unpleasant for my inner monologue to pronounce.

I'd imagine it was meant more along the lines of "What does Jesus have to do with giant robots who were fighting each other long before there was even anyone around to imagine a 'son of god'?"
