Eh, at least it is identifiable as Optimus Prime. Be happy for that much. If he looked like "Megatron", then we'd have something to be pissed about...

True,

'Heroic Optimus Prime' isnt that his tag line - now tell me how any of the angles on his face design = 'heroic' or anything at least, 'tough, hard, stalwart' etc... the downward slopes of his mouth plate create a weak look to him.

Whe I see these ****** up designs, and I see a load of people on other boards posting about how 'sweet' they look...

It just smacks to me of somebody desperately trying to convince themselves that this doesn't look gash.

They've done an okish job on keeping Op's likeness...

BUT HE LOOKS LIKE... I CANT DECIDE. BUT IT'S EITHER A ******* TWEEY PIE OR A TEAPOT. AND THAT IS ****.

I've also seen some people on various boards say his eyes make hime look like frikkin Jonny 5 - that is an excellent spot.

AND THIS FLANGE IS SUPPOSED TO INSPIRE US?

It makes sense from an 'obviously mechanical' point of view, but there's just too much of a 'trying too hard' feel to it.

I just saw Short Circuit again, and Johnny 5 showed more emotion with his eyes (well actually his eyebrows) then this Prime ever will.

OP was the only design having the most G1-like face... and they messed up that too.

All I can say is this:

At least he has a faceplate.

That's it. He just looks really wrong, and the the best I can say is, at least he has a faceplate. And Optimus is such a big draw that at least if he looks like Optimus, and has a faceplate, and he sounds like Cullen...
