It's been snowing like crazy all over Seattle and the Northwest, which is unusual. I work at a high school and they cancelled not just today, but tomorrow.
The buses aren't running either so Chrissy has been staying home with me. Today we watched Nacho Libre and ate Swedish Fish.
This rocks.

Sweet. Yeah, I saw the snow on MNF last night.
Like hearing about Nacho Libre and fish. That mean things are going better in the House of Sprunkner? Did you woo her by inviting her to your place for toast?

We still have much too warm weather for this time of year. It's about 13-16 degrees Celcius while late autumn normally is 6-8 degrees.
But I still hope we'll have snow for Christmas.

Getting a lot of pre-snow here in Singapore. Waited too long to go out for lunch, there was a downpour so I waited even longer, then it thinned a bit and I walked out of the house - straight into another downpour.
And according to the ads, they're flying in a Korean pop star called Rain.

Another big storm! I'm beginning to think I brought it all here from Utah. Hopefully, this time the weather will be warm enough for the snow to actually melt instead of freezing in layers of black ice to the road. This town needs some rock salt and sand.
And no work again. I don't worry about it too much, since this means one more day the school will make up in June-- and one more day I don't have to worry about what I'll do for money over the summer.

SNOW!!!
It's been a pretty weak winter so far, but now we have snow! It's not even enough to cover the ground, but the chance of ice on the roads is enough to shut down the whole city for today (and before you say anything about that, let me remind you that what you call your "heat waves" of the past few years are what we call "just another day"), so it's pretty cool.
I'm having fun letting my cats go outside and trip out, playing video games, and doing some reading for class (that last part is theoretical thus far).

Yay!
We finally have the first snow today! It's been falling for at least an hour now. It's white and fluffy and will most likely not stay, but I am very happy nonetheless.
Wheeeee! :swirly::)
Though I could have done without the hail storm this morning, that coincided exactly with my bike-ride to work and that soaked my socks thoroughly.

Haha, I strolled in at 1pm today, saying "Tchoh! Transport chaos, eh?" When I heard them use that phrase on BBC news this morning I went back to bed until 12. It's been a great day.Legion wrote:yes, and bizarrely i managed to get into work the earliest i've _ever_ managed it...snarl wrote:Oh yeah - WE HAD SNOW IN LONDINIUM TODAY MY NINJAS!
Loads of the stuff, lovely.

Sounds about right.Impactor returns 2.0 wrote:were all sunny here in bournemouth - I love all this global warming its the ****!
Snowed nicely in Bristol (first morning of the week when I didn't need to use the scraper! ), however, upon arriving at work, I was told by a couple of consultants from Devon that it was raining there, and they didn't even see any snow until they reached the edge of Somerset.
Looks like the snow came in a wide band across the central and more northern regions, with showers and the occasional sunny spells to the south.[/Generic Weatherman]
Gonna be 'icy as' in the morning, tho.

SNOW AGAIN!
I'm really starting to wonder if I live in Seattle or Moscow. Last night we were up at the hospital for the birthing-breathing class. It had been snowing on and off all day, but nothing serious. So when we get out of the class, the entire place is blanketed. Not just snow, but massive bouts of hail are sheeting down. Funny thing was, when we got home it was dry at our place. This morning there's a little less than an inch.
Lucky for me, my work is right next to the hospital so it looks like it will be out for as long as the snow sticks around. I plan to spend the day writing like a true geek.
