Yesterday I bought a new tv, a new surround system and a new DVD-player.
I ordered it over teh interwebs and when I was doing it I thought "What am I doing? This is ****** up". My legs felt tingly and I almost had to lay down when I was done.
I flushed away about £968 / $1805 on the whole thing. And that's the most I've spent on one day.
On second place is my car. £429 / $802.
Other than that I haven't made any really big purchases (except for my computer).
Houses/apartments don't count!

Can't believe I'm still here.

Don't think I've ever gone for any individual thing over £300.
Although last year, I did have to shell out £500+ on getting my previous car roadworthy again, after the gearbox broke loose and skewered the engine on its way out.

My driver's licence (2,300 euro) was more expensive than my car (2,000 euro). I did pay in three instalments for the licence, so not sure if that counts. And the car is not paid for yet either.
Hmmm....
I have spend quite a lot on furniture since moving into a new apartment earlier this year, but never buy anything insanely expensive. I'm not very interested in electronic equipment, and not prepared to spend 1,000 euros on a pair of shoes.
This year, I did spend 130 euros on a pair of jeans, and 45 euros on eye cream, both of which are a bit too much for the items themselves.

Yeah my eventual BA will be most expensive thing I bought, although a good deals with the loans and schloarship and what not.
I guess my laptop, which was $1300

Still, I don't think education counts as a thing. It's conceptualized in a diploma, but you couldn't exactly just go out and spend 50 grand for a degree.
