Iron Man movie news - Stark's been cast

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Jon Favreau's movie version of Iron Man's finally been cast.

Our jaded multi millionaire alcoholic hero will be played by... Robert Downey Jr.

Inspired!

Yeah, same thing I thought when I heard about it. Brilliant!

Although you have to admit, seeing a movie properly cast with a director who understands that source material makes you want to kill Michael Bay even more.

I looked up some of his photos and he's a perfect Tony Stark. Some people would have loved to see Tom Selleck, but face it, he's too old for that role.

Iron Man's probably always been a bit of a dick.. :o

But I do think Downey will play the role well. :) I was a bit wary of his likeness first, but then I got thinking that those Hollywood make-up artists can do nearly anything!
