Contacting Hasbro?

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Contacting Hasbro?

Post by The Last Autobot » Tue Sep 26, 2006 2:58 pm

A couple of years ago with a few friends Ive been organizing the Transfans here in Peru. Now we have a fairly goog board and monthly meetings to talk about tfs, buy tfs, read, etc (we also have weekly meetings but by msn).

My question is. Should I contact Hasbro and say something like "We exist?". Should it help anyhow? If that so, do I send just an email?

Any prior experience about this?

Or Im talking crap?

Well maybe all are correct

What do you think?

I wouldn't know much about it, but I would say that you might want wait to contact them until it's in regards to some sort of official gathering, ie "we are having a mini-TF convention in Lima and are hoping you could donate some cool stuff for the raffle."

But you never know. They may slap you with a lawsuit.

i guess the question is what are you hoping to get out of telling them you exist?

that kind of drives whether its worth getting in touch or not.

my insitinct is that unless you are pretty sizeble their response will essentially be to say 'that's nice'.

the fan club is, i believe supposed to be international and that's the official outlet for fans, the rest of it, well its just fan stuff really.

IMO

In November there will be a big Sci Fi convention here in Lima with many different groups (Star Trek, SW and the sort) and TfsPeru will be there too so I guessed I would be a good shot to call Hasbro.

And next year I plan to make a sort of mini botcon here.

BF, so you advice to go to http://www.transformersclub.com/

Do you have any direct email to adress someone in Hasbro to say "Hi"?
