My girlfriend is awesome!

My girlfriend's getting settled into her (soon to be our) new digs. We were chatting on the phone and talking about what we'd been doing. She'd been adjusting to a life where everything's completely different from what she's used to and I been, well, sponging off my friend, saving up some start-up cash, and building Gundam models. I used to get a real kick out of it when I was a teenager and we found a place that still had some in stock.

So my girlfriend sends me an email (via her phone) and says she got me a gift.

I had one of those fanboy moments that feel great but you're never proud of. In the US, it's tough to get these for under 200 USD (after shipping is factored in, it's damn near impossible). 200 bucks? Nah. In my new home, they're on clearance at a store down the street.

1) WHY do you make it a point to avoid telling anyone where you're moving to?

2) Sweet.

3) Why don't you post a pic of your girl and you? You know, just to make sure she exists. :P

1) Guess you're right. It's kind of pointless now that it's finalized.

3) I try to avoid having my picture posted online...and I don't have a pic on my computer.

This ******* sucks.

I just found out that all the schools where I applied in Japan won't take a pregnant couple. Even though we could easily have the baby over there on a teacher's salary. I really wanted to do this before I got older.

And as for YOU Smooth, what is the correct configuration of the question that will give me a country and/or city where you're moving to, so I can go, "Oh, *insert city here*! That'll be cool! I'd love to see the *insert local landmark here*, you lucky bastard!"

Are you sure you're not single and live in Illinois? lol. I'm Amias.

I'm dating, but not married. Thus "single." But yeah, that's me.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do, Shanti. I have an okay job here and things are going somewhat well. The company promised a job, though, and if we can't get one because of the baby then we have legal grounds to demand our money back. We applied in FIVE countries, so I don't see why we wouldn't get a job.
