My old 115 gb F:\ disc, where I keep all my docs and movies and such have finally given up.. it's hard to detect, it makes a horrid scraping sound when it finally loads, and so on.Crap in a hat.... I need me art in order to stay sane! >_<

Non-sata Intel 845 ASUS P4PE motherboard.
I'm having trouble finding a decently priced IDE-drive around 160gb's, so I'm thinking that maybe it's 'bout time I got me a new mobo and the whole shebang, yes? Too bad I only earn about 168£ a month...
I calculate even by going over the budget, obtaining all the components for a new rigg should take approx 4 months...
Any suggestions for a new rig slightly better than my current one, or just a new hd?
( Comp use will include surfing, watching movies, some moderate gameplay, doesn't need to be super-good but most flow nicely, advanced photoshoppery and some very simple 3D.)
