Good Month for Music!

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Good Month for Music!

Post by Professor Smooth » Sat Sep 02, 2006 1:37 am

If there's one thing about my current job that I don't hate, it's that I'm exposed to all kinds of music I otherwise would never have listened to. This month, new CDs from both Tom Petty and Bob Dylan were released. These are, possibly, the most satisfying albums I've ever listened to. Normally, I just listen to a handful of songs on a CD, but these two releases are excellent all-around!

Anybody else listening to Highway Companion (Petty) or Modern Times (Dylan)?

Haven't heard the Petty one yet - but I'm looking forward to it - but I've listened to the Dylan one a few times, I really like it. He really exercises his voice on a few of the songs, doesn't he? Lovely to hear.

Other new music I heard this week were the new Audioslave and Basement Jaxx. Both were rubbish.
