Hello from...

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

The World Science Fiction Convention, Anaheim, CA.

Robert Silverberg sat next to me yesterday and Larry Niven walked by me. Anyone want some autographs? Unfortunately I'm going to miss Ray Bradbury on Sunday, but I did get to meet Marv Wolfman (Teen Titans' creator) and talk to him about the new cartoon.

Marv Wolfman is awesome! :) The man behind DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths, and Transformers Beast Machines.

Too bad about missing Ray Bradbury. The man is really clever, and virtually a living legend. :(

Hope you have fun! ^^

Did ya bring the missus' by the way?

Tell Larry Niven that Ringworld is a fab little book. And be sure to have a few drinks for us at the bar...

Whew... it's been a busy week since I went to this.

I saw the Hugo awards ceremony. Pretty funny stuff, especially hearing Harlan Ellison rant for about twenty minutes and talk about what a bitch Robert Heinlein's wife was. Serenity won the movie Hugo and Morena Baccarin accepted. She looks positively skeletal in person. I could see ribs where cleavage should have been. Another set of fantasies down the drain...

And Doctor Who beat Battlestar Galactica for best episode. Quite a victory.

Damn Hollywood and their pressure to be skinny...

In other news, I'm in the middle of moving to Washington. You know what there is in Eastern Oregon? Not much.

That's so sad, that an Ark sitting in the side of a volcano in Oregon is out of continuity. *sigh*
