Shadowy Insider Sources

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Shadowy Insider Sources

Post by Brendocon » Wed Aug 09, 2006 9:00 pm

Can anybody give me some examples of ubercool (or notso) shadowy inside source informant type people from popular culture or something?

I'm writing a painfully self-referential culturally parodying essay/fic thing, but need a crossover cameo from an awesome inside source.

I was going to use one of the Awesome Inside Sources from The X-Files, but I've got an X-Files crossover later on and I don't want to bog it down too much.

Help?

The Shopkeeper from Mr Benn?

Can't think of any. Someone mentioned the X-Files and all I can think of now is that the guy who played Deep Throat was Mark Twain in TNG.

All I can currently think is "which bloody episode of Angel is Pissin's current sig from. I know I've watched it in the last fortnight... dammit..."

Sounds like a Cordy. Sounds familiar.

Sounds like I wouldn't have watched it in a good 5 years.

It's from 'Provider', season 3, and it's Lorne. :)

I quoted it from memory-a little research leads me to believe the quote may actually be:

" One I'm sure we can all download at 'I'll never know the love of a woman dot com.'"
"Most of my heroes don't appear on no stamps"

I was right! I hadn't seen it in 5 years! :(

Oh. And I've got an inside source. Very obscure, mind.

The 'bub' guy from 12 Monkeys.

He seemed pretty clued in about what was going on.

But did the 'Bub' guy really exist or was he in Bruce Willis' head?

What about Oracle in Batman?

Pete Tyler in Rise of the Cybermen?

The security guard in the animal testing lab in Spaced?
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Wouldn't that make him the most inside of inside sources?

Well, he is going to be in a comic.

Mr Holy Moly?
Comical Ali?

Only up to twelve.

Then he kinda gets a blind spot.

Good thing Judas H. Priest didn't invent the analog clock face. Oh.
