Space Marine Artwork

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

Awesome dude, awesome. :) The style of the character is vaguely similar to that of ID4's Doom3 and Q4, eh?

I've just started trying to use the supersimple 2.5D app Zbrush for my colouring, so one day I might be proficient enough to ask you for tips! :)

My younger brother tells me that scar tissue won't furrow like the skin around it because it's too inflexible. He's even got a scar from a knee operation to prove it.

Your call, of course.

I see what your saying _ i need to smooth out any brow forrows in the regions of scars.

Good work preds but theres nothing simple about Zbrush, its a great app, and gos someway to forming a bridge between sculpting and 3D work.

As your using Zbrush - id like to point u towards Luxologys 'Modo' - 3D modeling tool - very powerfull and great to use with Zbrush.

Bad english on my part, I of course meant that it was rather simple to use, and still get pretty exciting results, even from my limited knowledge. :) ( I'm currently using it for backgrounds, and replacing photography-material in my textures, brings great depth!)

I'´m having a look at that Modo as we speak, seems to have some things in common with Zbrush, yes? :) I probably won't be using it quite yet tho, since my limited brain-capacity inhibits me from learning to use any more 3D-apps than Zbrush right now. ^^

One to keep in mind whence one has grown more confident tho. It does appear to be precisely what the doctor ordered, for continuing the advancement of technologys involved in colouring.

EDIT: HMM! The Image-synth plugin might be something I have to incorporate in my work-process asap! Creating textures like that, would be very rewarding. Thanks for the link Mark! :)

yup - thats a wonderfull bit of kit - i was testing it on my own 3d max model - sometimes its just faster to draw directly but it is less accurate in some respects..

In max they have a tool know as GhostPainter 2 - which actually intergrates Photoshop into 3DS max, u draw on your model using PS own tools and filters - rather super!
