I'm moving. And I don't have an appartment. :(

If the Ivory Tower is the brain of the board, and the Transformers discussion is its heart, then General Discussions is the waste disposal pipe. Or kidney. Or something suitably pulpy and soft, like 4 week old bananas.

I'm moving. And I don't have an appartment. :(

Post by Predabot » Wed Jul 26, 2006 7:07 pm

Well, as you all know I lived with my mother and sister for a while, after moving to the city, from the country-side. ( this would make me a chav, I know..). :o

All is well and all, except my sister has to move back to Swiss where she has a life with her boy-friend. My mother then starts going out, a lot. And finally finds herself a man from Pakistan that she marries. ( he's not a very good person, but that's for another time)

Sadly, I do not have a job, I only have internships and does some uni stuff, so I can't pay very much of the rent to the big ,3 rooms and a kitchen, flat that is now mine.

So she has to pitch in and help me with the rent, but she can't really keep that up for long tho, since she now also has to pay the rent for her new husband that is unemployed and no longer getting social services since he's married... :(

Wich has lead us to this point in time, where I must now move out of this flat and into my grandmas house, because there's really no other place for me to go. Hopefully I'll be able to find something really small soon enough, seeing as my only monthly income is only 169£ and 80 pence a month.

Wich mean I won't be able to be online, and on Transfans as much anymore.. But fear ye not!! :) I shall not be entirely absent during my soon to come exile, but I shall do what I did before and search out the local libraries and terminals and peak in her now and then, just like in the old days! :D

Peace out, peace out.

Uhm... no it wouldn't.

Good luck moving. I hope your computer doesn't develop any bugs that find you somehow incapable of logging in when you do return...

Are you studying or what the hell is going on?
When you study you can get like 7000:- a month. With that kind of money you'll easily find a place to live.

Good luck.
Can't believe I'm still here.

Thanks, I guess... :lurk: ( I really thought young lads coming in from the country-side into the big cities and not being able to handle it, hence turning even scummier, were chavs?)

Karl, Ob, Spidey, thanks. :)

Aye! And a really cool thing is if I could see a drunk-posting Legion! :D In fact, why not make this the official drunk posts thread?? :) Get right to it lads!

I used to be stuck in the unemployment agencys internships, ( working for 4300:- a month), but a few months ago I started studying on a special education inbetween high School and University, KY - The Municipal Profession school, Electronics and Automation. :)

And like the uni-boys I could have opted for a student-loan, but I only went for the free of charge benefit-portion. Wich is 2300:- per month. So...I always have to strap my belt pretty tight, to make ends meat. Literally. :o

We have those in the UK too. We call them Access (short for Access to Degree) courses.

Good luck.

Yeah, good luck man, hope to hear from you again soon. I've been working and going to school for 6 years, I know how hard it can be.

Aren't you like 23 years old?
Why didn't you go for the full 7000:- so that you could move out and live on your own?

22. I guess I could have, but that would have put me in debt to the government until I was like 50... :lurk: If there's anything I really hate, it's debt. >_<

Anyways, I've got a small penny saved since my days of internships, and when I do find a suitable appartment, I hope to be able to live off of that and the benefit.

Eline, Paul, cheers. :)

Why don't you just rent out the other two rooms of your flat? That way you have somewhere to live *and* an income.

Seems the obvious solution, I'd have thought.
I would have waited a ******* eternity for this!!!!

Good luck, Preds. As for drunk posting, I had a shot of schnapps that did little more than relax me the other night. It's pathetic, but it's the best I can do, since you'll be absent.

Well, they seem to be a pretty sweet deal, and a good initiative. Thanks Rebis. :)

EmmVee, the thought of living with strangers feels kind of scary.. :( ( I know, I know, I'm a wuss...) Scraplet, TLA thank you for the kind words. :)

The search for a new 'rent goes bad, and the fact that one of my friends who is a known compulsive lier ripped me off for the 100th time doesn't make it any better... ( fool me once, shame on him, fool me 20 times... shame on me.. -_- )

I'm currently living with my gramps that's is slowly slipping more and more into dementia, wich isn't any fun at all. :(

Today was the last day of cleaning and moving stuff, after a 3 day long ordeal... damn I'm beat..

Well oB, he also happens to be one of the 3 actual friendly aquaintainces that I know, so I don't have much choice, a man in my position can't be picky with friends, or he won't have any!

Seriously, I've got like only 3 friends. No one else likes the same stuff that I do, or have been able to tolerate it more or less.
