Surprisingly, some of them are good... I dare say better then what Sarracini did for us. About "Budiansky late" level. There is some good characterisation for Fizzle (who is drawn as Sizzle...

as always) in one of them.

Heh, I read the one called Decepticon Poison a long time ago. I seem to recall it being pretty crap. The art was really toy based in style (moreso even than Will Simpson), which struck me as odd at the time.

DW's rationale for selling this stuff reminds me of early Image Comics. "Featuring the awesome art of Pat/Jim/Jae/Stan/Bob Lee drawing stuff you've seen before, but written with a higher level of crap!"
